چکیده

The decline of oak stands is a phenomenon that has been observed since the beginning 20th century in many European countries. It can be caused both with abiotic factors such as drought and fluctuations groundwater levels, well biotic infestations by insects, fungi bacteria. Acute Oak Decline (AOD) an dangerous disease trees which was first XX century. From moment symptoms were noticed, able to kill up 6 years. Two species bacteria, Brebberia goodwinii Gibsiella quercinecand, are considered one infectious agents AOD. Quercs robur reported from weakened stand Chojnów Forest District. Symptomatic exudates sampled subjected laboratory analysis. Using Real time PCR, bacteria Brenneria quercinecans confirmed two out seven collected field samples. This report information on observation these participation Quercus Poland. Keywords: robur, goodwinii, quercinecans, real

The intergenic transcribed spacer region 1 as a molecular marker for identification and discrimination of Enterobacteriaceae associated with acute oak decline.

AIMS We assessed the veracity of intergenic spacer region 1 (ITS1) ribotyping for the rapid, inexpensive and accurate identification of Brenneria goodwinii and Gibbsiella quercinecans that are associated with acute oak decline (AOD) in the UK. METHODS AND RESULTS Agarose gel electrophoresis and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) were applied for the typing of ITS1 PCR amplicons from st...

Integrated multi-omic analysis of host-microbiota interactions in acute oak decline

BACKGROUND Britain's native oak species are currently under threat from acute oak decline (AOD), a decline-disease where stem bleeds overlying necrotic lesions in the inner bark and larval galleries of the bark-boring beetle, Agrilus biguttatus, represent the primary symptoms. It is known that complex interactions between the plant host and its microbiome, i.e. the holobiont, significantly infl...

Taxonomy and identification of bacteria associated with acute oak decline

Acute oak decline (AOD) is a relatively newly described disorder affecting native oak species in Britain. Symptomatic trees are characterised by stem bleeds from vertical fissures, necrotic lesions in the live tissue beneath and larval galleries of the two spotted oak buprestid (Agrilus biguttatus). Several abiotic and biotic factors can be responsible for tree death, however the tissue necrosi...

Multilocus sequence typing provides insights into the population structure and evolutionary potential of Brenneria goodwinii, associated with acute oak decline

Brenneria goodwinii is one of the most frequently isolated Gram-negative bacteria from native oak species, Quercus robur and Q. petraea, affected by acute oak decline (AOD) in the UK. We investigated the population biology of this bacterial species using a multilocus sequence analysis to determine the population structure and evolutionary potential. Seven partial housekeeping genes were used in...
